Hey! My name is Tracy Higgs and I recently moved here from Northern California. I went to Western Career College studying veterinary medicine for technicians and have been in the field for 27 years. I wanted to be a technician because I enjoy veterinary medicine and helping animals. I have two dogs, a rescue Chihuahua named Louie and an empty nest project also known as a 10 month old Red Fox Lab puppy named Rossi. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and my favorite location so far has been the Grand Canyon.

Alisha Farmer , Veterinary Technician

Hi, my name is Alisha. I was first introduced to this profession about three years ago in North Carolina where I started as a kennel assistant. Shortly after, I started training as a veterinary assistant and never looked back. Now I’m back in my hometown doing what I love, taking care of your fur babies. This is truly my dream job. I love getting to meet and know all of the pets that come in. I also have two fur babies of my own. One is a Chihuahua mix named Mocha and the other is a beautiful grey kitty named O’Malley. In my free time, you can usually find me reading a book or out walking through nature. I look forward to forming a relationship with each client and pet that I meet!

Ashley Snyder, Technician Assistant

My name is Ashley Snyder. I am from Phenix City, Alabama. Animals have always held a dear place in my heart and I cannot recall a time when I have not had a pet of some sort. I’ve had Conures, parakeets, guinea pigs, cockatiels, a bandee chicken, anoles, tree frogs, geckos, and several dogs. I have recently moved to Newnan and have a Pomeranian mix named Donatello who is my world. I have worked two years in a dog groomer and one year at a veterinary clinic as an assistant before starting my journey here at ECVH. Although I have only been here for a short time, I already love the friendly environment and focus towards doing our best by our customers and their pets.

Arianna Courson, Kennel Manager

Hiya! My name is Arianna. I started working here at ECVH in November 2015 in the kennel. Before coming here my husband was in the Army so we were stationed in California and Hawaii for 3 years each. In Hawaii I worked as a kennel technician for about a year before I started working as a veterinary technician for about 6 months. While still in high school I also worked as a kennel technician for about 2 years. I have also grown up with dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, and hedgehogs so I have a long history with animals. Currently I have 2 Chihuahuas (Mimi La Roo and Missy Cupcake), 1 corgi (Maru –Maru Chan), and 1 cat (Bo). I love working with the people and animals here at ECVH, and I cannot wait to continue grow with them and learn new things!

Kara Kirby, Client Services Manager

I am a Tallahassee Lassie and have lived in a few places throughout the southeast. I have been in the beautiful state of Georgia since 1994. I was 7 years old when I knew I wanted to work with animals and graduated with my B.S. in Zoology from Auburn in 2006. Before entering the veterinary field, I worked at Wild Animal Safari and have some great stories about the exotic animals I worked with, including Liger Cubs. After I got married in 2007, we moved to Newnan and to continue my love of animals, I entered the veterinary field as a technician. I started at ECVH in 2008 and worked for 5 ½ years as a technician. I took a brief sabbatical at a desk job for 1 ½ years, then came back home to ECVH as a receptionist March of 2015.  Since returning as a receptionist, I have enjoyed connecting more with our wonderful clients.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and serving in the Georgia State Defense Force.

Erin Dixon, Receptionist

My name is Erin Dixon. I graduated from Newnan High School. Although I have been with East Coweta Veterinary Hospital for just a short time,  I have loved animals all my life. I have a three year old American Akita, a Syrian hamster named Jax and our newest edition, Chi, a three month old Chihuahua. I am currently a receptionist here, as I love people just as much as their fur babies. I enjoy singing in the choir, swimming and spending quality time with my family.
